What the Cambridge Community has to say about KS School of Dance

KS Dance School is a nurturing environment

My daughter has attended KS School of Dance since 2019.  From the moment we made contact with Miss Kellie, my daughter has been nurtured and encouraged under her tutelage.

The student's Miss Kellie teaches are encouraged to develop good habits, which are evident in stellar exam results attained each year. Her students become well-rounded individuals, with kindness being the theme that flows through all classes. We love being part of the KS family.

KS Dance School is a welcoming space for all

My daughter has been dancing at KS for 10 years now and absolutely loves it. It has been a wonderful cornerstone of her life, especially in a rapidly changing world, she cherishes going to each dance class as her happy place no matter what is going on elsewhere.

Miss Kellie has created such a welcoming, safe space for all dancers to come and not only enjoy dance, but also forge great friendships. Senior dancers encourage and nurture the younger ones which have produced one big dance family supporting each other.

The 100% pass rate across all students for the international exams sat each year is testimony to the high caliber of teachers. The professional bi-annual Dance Show is always a highlight and it is during this time a strong sense of community is evident among the dancers and their families. I highly recommend KS, you will not be disappointed!

The Annual Show is always a highlight

Both my girls have been attending KS School of Dance since 2017. We have been extremely happy with the school and the girls love attending!

We can't speak more highly of Kellie and her team of teachers. Kellie has a way with the kids where they are challenged yet have fun and always speak so highly of her. The young teachers are great role models for young girls coming up through the grades.

The annual show is always a highlight for them too where they get to prepare and experience the stage and all that goes with it! We couldn't recommend the school more!

KS Dance School is where strong bonds of friendship are formed

KS School of Dance is more than just a place to learn to dance.  The strong bonds of friendship between the older girls and the way they lead and nurture the younger dancers is a testament to the beautiful, inclusive community that Kellie has built.

An amazing teacher full of enthusiasm and positivity

The KS school of dance has been part of my daughters' weekly routine for the past 8 years. They have taken classes in Jazz, Ballet & Tap. Miss Kellie is an amazing teacher and with enthusiasm, positivity, and encouragement brings out the best in ‘her’ girls. I always recommend Miss Kellie and her team to any prospective dancers, as they are just the best.

My daughter's confidence and skills have grown incredibly

Thank you so much Miss Kellie for creating such a lovely environment for all the dancers that come through your doors, whether it is in the hall, the studio, the theater or even over a zoom call, the experience and level of professionalism is always the same, it comes from a place of warmth and care.

Having been at KS school of dance for the last 5 yrs and seeing how much my daughter's confidence and skills have grown is just incredible. Being surrounded by such talented teachers and lots of other like minded children is the perfect combination.

We can't wait for the next 10 plus years of dancing to come!!

Making lifelong friends from different local schools

My daughter started dancing at age 4 with KS School of Dance when it first opened in Cambridge. She had an amazing time learning the different styles offered: ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and performance group. She regularly took part in workshops offered and also successfully competed in many dance competitions under the guidance and support of Miss Kellie. She has made many lifelong friends from different local schools through dancing here, as have I with some of the other ballet mums.

At the age of 16 she was accepted into 2 full time ballet schools in Australia and is now in her final year at NZ School of Dance, majoring in contemporary dance. Proof that this small provincial dance school offers expert tutelage that stands up to the bigger dance school in the cities.
